I think that changes in Android and/or your stock launcher caused the changes to the padding of widgets. The changes will apply to all widgets, so including those made with KWGT.
Because the padding is set by and controlled by Android and/or the launcher, there’s nothing KWGT can change about it.
If the change is not specific to Android, but set by the launcher, it might be that you can back to your original padding by changing to a different launcher.
If you don’t want to change launchers or if you’ve tried other launchers and the padding was still not correct there is probably nothing to be done…
I see your thinking, however I know from testing with UCCW the padding is not an issue (the app is quite outdated though) so I’d prefer KWGT, so I know it’s a software/app problem and not the UI, Launcher, or Android itself.
This is an issue on Nova and latest Android. To solve this you have to:
Ensure you are running 3.78 version (latest), 3.77 has a bug in autoscaling
Ensure Widget Settings → Scale mode is set to LOCKED
Then either click on the widget to open the editor by assigning open editor to the root OR add a new widget and resize it before editing
The problem is that Nova is not reporting correct widget size when using the “new” widget “sizes”, you can report this to them if you want also “Autosize” to work.
