I switched to the Samsung Z fold 5 and am trying out klwp. Particularly, the touch function doesnt work when I use the One ui home app. When I use ADW as home app it does seem to work.
As suggested in other posts, I’ve enabled pop-up notifications and allowed most permissions.
Hmm. so for the most part any launcher that is manufacturer installed be it ex. pixel launcher, oneui home, touchwiz non of them have live wallpaper support whatsoever to my knowledge. Take a look at this comparison of launchers for android in notion to see which once are supported The Definitive Android Launcher Comparison Table (notion.site)
Thanks for the list, at least I can try some to see if they work.
The only reason im using One UI is becasue ADW messes up the widgets with the double screens, but maybe other launchers are better at it.
it’s kind of bummer that list doesn’t contain fold compatibility column since folds are now somewhat more in mobile market so people could know which launcher works better on folds with 2 screens.
Total Launcher supports Folding phones, I would recommend trying it out
Hi All,
Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, Total Launcher doesnt work for me either. The problem is the same, they simply duplicate the screens without understanding that they are two different spaces. Total Launcher also scales accordingly so everything’s either bloated or small.
I also tried the following:
Nova Launcher
Bridge Launcher
Smart laucher 6
Action launcher
Total launcher
Apex Launcher
ADW launcher 2
None of them worked with two separe screens and simply duplicated.
So my status is this, One UI works well with the screens and KLWP except for the touch function. ADW, which is my favorite laucher, works well with KLWP (supports touch) and looks ok with two screens but will duplicate widgets (like they all do).
Just realized that KWGT widgets do have touch recognition, so that’s a workaround that’ll work well for me. The main thing I wanted was custom buttons to open apps. I can make a widget with a transparent background and some icons with touch functions. And since Open UI respects the widgets on different screens I can just make different versions or have the same on both. By the way, you can use the screen width info to adapt Kustom to different screens, so that works well. So question solved, I guess.
Thanks for the help!
