I’m having a problem with KWCH on my TicWatch 3 Ultra GPS after switching to a new phone (Pixel 8 Pro). I’ve reinstalled KWCH on both devices and granted all necessary permissions.
On my old phone (Realme phone) everything was absolutely working great.
The issue is that my watchfaces, which display step count data, always show 0 steps on the watch, even though the step count is correct in the KWCH app on my phone and in my KWLP background. I’ve confirmed that the step count data is being collected correctly by the phone.
Here’s what I’ve tried:
Reinstalled KWCH:
I’ve reinstalled KWCH on both my phone and watch.
Granted Permissions:
I’ve ensured all necessary permissions are granted on both devices for KWCH and related apps (Fit, Mobvoi Health).
Verified Data on Phone:
The step count data is accurate in the KWCH app on my phone and matches the data in my KWLP background.
Despite these steps, the step count remains 0 on my watchfaces. Could there be an issue with how KWCH is sending data to the watch?
Or maybe, can you give me additional things to check ?
Can you connect both your phone and watch to the same Wifi network and push the watchface again to the watch? Also, go to KWCH app settings >> Watch Settings >> Toggle “Global sync mode” and “Data sync mode” between “Always” and “Watch has no internet”.
Sorry for the late response but I wanted to do as much test as I could before bothering you again.
I uninstalled KWCH (after cleaning cache and data) from the phone
I completely wipe and reinstall my watch
I reinstalled my watch, being sure to have Google Fit app instaleld and fully configured
I installed KWCH on phone
I checked that all apps have correct permissions and authorizations.
I reinstalled KWCH on watch being sure that all authorizations are ok.
Now I transfered my watchface that always worked and… nothing. It took one day to have the weather icon working, but now it works, but the steps are still “0”. In these days i spend 2 days with all the combinations between “Always” and “Watch has no internet”.
I really can’t get a solution.
[to be honest the solution would be using complications, but i would prefer not to use them]
Same issue for me, steps not working and also “feels like” temp progress and text not working. Not set as complications either and dont want them to be.
The same thing here, the variables on the phone are displayed correctly in the preview but are not transferred to the watch. This has been the case for about 4 weeks! I tested the synchronization and none of the settings worked for me!
I wasn’t complaining with you. But it is true that this issue has been reported long time ago and It Is still there, meaning that they do not care at all about It.
I must remove all step or fitness data from any face i have created otherwise I get blocked on that modal dialog.
Plus th le notification that must be set on or the app isn’t working correctly.
Watchmaker has the problem in managing position but that Is less importante for me that steps and i don’t have fo force a notification tò male It working.
