Simple date and time widget draining battery on oppo reno 11

I used to use kwgt on my samsung device and there were hardly any battery problems. However, i just made a simple date and time widget together with all these configurations and yet its using the most battery on my phone. I have not loaded any presets.

Update mode: Smart updating
Redraw when screen off: Off

Phone: Oppo Reno 11
Android: Colour OS 14.0

Check if the update mode for KWGT (in advanced options menu KWGT) is set to Fast

update mode is set to smart, still don’t know why it drains so much battery

Force stop the app and clear the app’s cache and see if that makes a difference.

In settings there is some option to update widgets on background when screen is off. Disable that
