Refreshing after unlocking

Kustom Widget does not update automatically after unlocking the phone. For example, the correct time is only displayed when the widget is interacted with. If there is no interaction, the widget does not update itself even if the phone is unlocked for several minutes.
Already checked: Kustom Widget and Nova Launcher have unrestricted battery usage; intelligent battery is disabled; force closing of Kustom Widget and reimporting the widget did not help; changing the refresh intervall to fast (every second)

The problem has persisted for several days, but does not always occur. If the phone is locked and unlocked twice in direct succession, the problem does not occur. The problem only occurs when unlocking the phone for the first time after locking it for a longer period of time.

Systems used:

  • Smartphone: Google Pixel 6 Pro
  • Software Version: 14 (AP2A.240605.024)
  • KWGT version: 3.76b418415

On a side Note:
Flows with the trigger $si(locked)$ do not work either. Despite the flow, the variable is not set to 0 when locking and unlocking.

I can’t seem to reproduce this. When you say “longer period of time”, are we talking hours? Also, try downgrading to 3.75 and see if that makes a difference.

Yes, that’s right, I should perhaps have specified the time span better. For me, it always occurs when the phone is locked for between 5-30 minutes. It doesn’t always occur, but I can reproduce it around 90 percent of the time.

It doesn’t occur for more than 30 minutes because I have set the weather data to be updated at this interval. When the weather data is updated, the time is always also updated.

I have downloaded and installed version 3.75b410013 from the website and the error does not occur in this version.
I then installed version 3.76b418415 again. Now the error occurs again. So it is related to the version of the KWGT app.

Can you go to KWGT’s app settings and check if you continue to get the red “Battery Optimization” banner at the top?

No, I don’t see the red banner. KWGT also has unrestricted access to battery usage.

I’m having the same issue here on my 13T and Android 14.
When I install the 3.75b410013 it’s working fine.
