Rearranging messy file structure?

I am a fairly new user of KWGT and think I know the answer… but it is worth a try…

I downloaded some widgets, from the playstore, and am editing them for my use. Some of the file structures are… nonexistent, like no grouping, just everything in one long list. I am trying to see if there is a way to rearrange an existing widget. Select items to add into an overlap, or stack, maybe?

The only “fix” I have found is to make an overlap, or stack, and rewrite each item into it, then delete the original item. Very clunky, to be sure, but it certainly is teaching me a lot about how each function works ha ha

Is there a simpler way? So far, it seems not. :sunglasses:

~Edit~ Also, can the name of an overlap group or stack be changed? For instance, I have all my music control buttons in one group and would like to change the group name from “Overlap Group” to “Music Controls”. It would really help me stay organized and stop the eye twitches…

You can copy & paste items, instead of rewriting them, by selecting the check box on the right and then copying them with the symbol beside the pencil at top of screen. Then you paste them elsewhere by clicking the clipboard symbol at far right on the same row. Occasionally the paste symbol isn’t there when you want it and you may have to recopy.

You can rename things easily by checking their box and then selecting the pencil icon at top of screen.

Have fun

Thanks. I tried the copy paste earlier and it did not work…just tried again and it worked. I must have fat fingered something before ha ha.

The edit names bit, I just did not see. Thanks again.
