This isn’t a bug, it’s a RAM and GPU management issue. Your theme is extremely ‘heavy’ with constant animations, and it consumes a lot of resources.

What happens: When you play a game or use a fullscreen app, Android kills KLWP’s background process to give more power to the game. When you return, the theme struggles to ‘rebuild’ all those moving layers instantly, causing the glitch.

Try to

Set KLWP to ‘Unrestricted’ in App Info → Battery.

If possible, disable some non-essential animations in the theme settings to reduce the load.

Heavy themes like this always struggle with aggressive system optimization!

First of all, thank you very much for your quick reply.

It’s quite disappointing to hear that a theme like mine may not be well supported by my phone or KLWP. I’m not sure if this helps, but I forgot to mention that my device is a Galaxy S25 Ultra, which should be able to handle most tasks, if I’m not mistaken.

If you mean that my theme is too heavy, I’m experiencing the same issue with other themes as well, such as this one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.outtiefivethou.kiroshicore.klwp&pcampaignid=web_share

However, this particular theme does not seem to be heavy at all.

Regarding the suggestion to set KLWP to “Unrestricted” in App Info → Battery, I have already done that.

Having an S25 Ultra is great, but the problem isn’t your hardware power it’s how Samsung’s One UI manages background apps.

Even ‘light’ themes are heavy: The theme you linked (Kiroshi Core) actually has many layers and masks. When you switch from a full-screen game (which demands 100% GPU) back to the home screen, the system has to ‘re-render’ the entire wallpaper from scratch. If there’s even a split-second delay, you get that glitch.

One UI issue: Samsung is notorious for killing the wallpaper process to keep the game running smoothly. This is a system-level behavior, not a KLWP bug.

Try this last resort:

Open your Recents (multitasking) menu.

Tap the KLWP icon at the top.

Select ‘Keep open’ (Lock this app).

This forces the system to keep KLWP in RAM even while you are gaming. If that doesn’t help, then it’s simply a conflict between the high-load theme and Samsung’s aggressive game mode optimization.

Thank you for your suggestion.

I’ve tried setting KLWP to “Keep open” (locking it in the Recents menu), but unfortunately, the problem still persists and nothing has changed.

At this point, it seems like I might just have to live with this issue.

Hi @GODAMONGUS ,

I am sorry but what kind of glitch did you mention? I have watched you’re screen record but I didn’t see any glitches.

Thanks.

If you watch closely in the video, the animations are not aligned properly. For example, the small yellow circular ring in the middle and the light green element on the right appear and move differently. That is how the theme is supposed to look. Here is the original theme link:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dshdinh.klwpthemes.hacker2&pcampaignid=web_share

I see. It looks like it’s the design of the preset that might not anticipate different screensizes, especially with fullscreen mode.

Have you tried to reach the developer of that preset? And ask him/her for any possible tweak/update to the issue you experience with.

I hope this would help.

 :+1:

Yes, I already contacted the developer, and they confirmed that this is not an issue with the theme itself. As @MaxP mentioned, it seems to be related to One UI. Samsung is known for stopping the wallpaper process to keep games running smoothly, so this appears to be system-level behavior rather than a bug in KLWP.
