One UI 6.1.1 issue?

Hey fellow kwlpers
Just installed one ui 6.1.1 today on my Galaxy Z Fold 4, and every time I blink my (bloody amazing if I do say so myself :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:) wallpaper just shows a black screen.

Is this a known issue? Anyone else experiencing this? I’ve cleared the cache for klwp. And that’s the extent of my ideas!

I’ve previously had to toggle on the disable parallel render, but I’m not having any joy…

Really appreciate any help.

Not sure why, and I’m happy, but klwp is working for me again.

Thank you… Someone!

Awesome! Did you do anything to fix the issue?

Hi Ace
Sorry to report I’ve come back to say it’s not working again.

A bit annoying for it to 90% work and then just not again. I say 90 because the background was static (no timed change), but the minor animations I have slowly pulsing and the touch actions were working.

I’m finding I’m constantly setting the background and then saving my klwp again because the black simply looks broken!

I guess I’ll just apply an image and try klwp once a day or something until it’s sorted. Not much I can do if no one here can help. :frowning_with_open_mouth:

update: First, I just noticed that ALL permissions for Nova Launcher were no longer set. None allowed! Not sure how this glitch happened. I re-granted all permissions. KLWP still didn’t work. Backed up the Kustom folder to my computer. Then I cleared the KLWP cache and Data and uninstalled. Re-installed KLWP, allowed all KLWP permissions, set as wallpaper, disabled parallel rendering and it’s working again. I hope it stays working!

This just happened to me last night. Fold 6. I’ve been on One UI 6.1.1 for at least a week and no issue until I tried a new preset. The new preset was frozen then I switched back to my usual preset and got the black screen. When it sporadically loaded, it too was frozen. I thought that maybe there was a new Nova Launcher version but that hasn’t been updated since May 2024.
So odd. I cleared app cache, system cache, I haven’t reinstalled the app but will try that next. Nerve-wracking to have it work then not.
