Recently updated my Z Fold 6 to OneUI 8, and since then my KWGT widgets are stuck loading when switching between phone being closed and open. I don’t believe this issue occurred in previous OneUI versions.
In my testing:
- it’s best replicated when the Z fold 6 is closed and awake using the outer screen, then phone is directly opened to the inner screen. Seems like the switch between layouts is where the issue occurs, as on the z fold’s the inner and outer displays have distinct layouts.
- it seems to only happen with KWGT widgets
- all widgets load once any widget is opened and saved from the editor
- widgets that are frequently updated, i.e. progress bar, or time with seconds, seem to load better, although not guaranteed
- widgets may eventually load once updated based on function, i.e. time with minutes will load once a new minute is reached
- issue seems to mainly occur in the inner screen/when opened, but I can see the outer screen still has an initial load at times, but is relatively fast (still not ideal)
- the content of the widget seems irrelevant as even just text widgets have the issue
