Latest version of KLWP (3.78). Android 16, but this was happening on Android 15 as well. Google Pixel 8 Pro.
I am out of ideas. Importing a wallpaper fails and causes my file to corrupt to 0 kb. Wallpapers that used to load without issue now do not - no error, the file simply fails to be imported and when I look at the file in a file manager it’s now 0 kb. I have done everything I can think of - I downgraded versions (down to 3.76 was what I read was successful for others having this issue), no resolution. Somebody else said they had too many wallpapers in their folder, I backed up and deleted older themes I wasn’t using anymore (now have less than 6 in the folder).
I’ve removed, and then restored permissions. I have uninstalled and re-installed multiple versions of KLWP. I have cleared data and cache and deleted excess “kustom” folders that have been created along the way. I cannot for the life of me figure out why I can’t load a damned wallpaper and it’s making KLWP borderline unusable.
If you haven’t already, try performing a clean install. Also, instead of using the ‘Import’ button to import presets, try manually moving the .klwp files into the ‘wallpapers’ folder.
FYI I get the same problem but my .klwp are always in the wallpapers folder and get corrupted all the same. The moment I really noticed it was a real problem and not just a me problem when I was trying to use the Kustom app to make an apk because I’m entering a contest at my company as well as a fandom contest and wanted to make kustom themes that could be used with at least the aosp apk so for the first time I’m making other klwp templates rather than just changing whatever my own is on the fly and exporting only if I make a big change…
The first time it happened, I thought it was because when I started installing the other kustom apps I had to redo my Kustom folder structure because I realised klwp wasn’t in the overall folder I made later and it was annoying because for the corporate contest I use the company fonts which aren’t on Google Fonts so I need a centralized fonts folder. So I used the stock Samsung files management app to move each folder in the klwp original location it had for years into the overall Kustom folders I had put all of the others (widget, weather, lock screen, tried the watch and realised mine was under new management and installed the watch face thingy on my windows vm instead but I hope for a kustom app for the new watch face format someday, I’d love to help with bug reports too!) And I lost both my corporate theme and one of my fandom contest versions which was a pain because I didn’t remember which fonts I had used since it was all google fonts
I’m on Android 15 on a samsung s23u using klwp pro from my google play subscription currently on 3.79b515413 which I think is the latest unless you just pushed something slowly getting spread in the last 24h… and I can’t remember if it happened on android 14 (I made the update late considering the issues at Samsung this year).
