How to interact with kustom widget on lockscreen

Hi, all.

I recently got into kwgt, and modified a media controller widget. The new Samsung One UI update lets you put widgets on your home screen. So I added this widget.

The issue I’m having is, that however I interact with the widget, before it does what it’s supposed to, I have to unlock my phone.

So for example, if I want to hit “pause”, I have to unlock the phone first, and then it does what it’s supposed to.

Does anyone know how, if at all, I can bypass this requirement? There’s not much point in having a media controller on my lockscreen otherwise :sweat_smile:

This could be due to an app limitation since KWGT was not really designed to be used on your lock screen.

Something that could be implemented in the app now that this is a thing.
