Gyroscope broken/wrong on Samsung Galaxy S10

I have a Galaxy S10 running Android 12 and One UI v4.1

My standard home screen uses a gyro-based animation. Today I noticed that it’s no longer working correctly. I recently updated the KLWP to version 3.7b422110.
My animation uses the Y axis. I noticed that tilting the phone sideways rather than up/down made the animation work, but not quite the same as it used to.
So it looks like the X/Y axes are sort of swapped on my phone. But it used to be that screen up and screen down yielded the same spot in the animation, but now they are different (after I switched to using the X axis. It also feels like the values changed, as the animation reaches 100% at a different tilt.

I was on the latest KLWP Play Store version before this one became available there. The previous version worked perfectly on my phone.

I’m also experiencing this issue. Before the latest version of KLWP, the Y-axis animation was fine, but now all of my KLWP presets that use gyroscope and Y-axis animation do not work properly.

Dear developer, please kindly investigate this issue and fix it.

Sorry to bump this, but it’s been two months with no reply. A lot of people have Samsung devices, so this could be a pretty widespread issue.
Just wondering if it’s being investigated or if a fix is in the works for the next release.

Just want to add that my gyroscoped based animations (in my case using yaw for a compass effect) has suddenly stopped working on my Samsung Z flip 6.

Works in the preview screen though…?

Have I missed something?

I noticed that the Scroll X and the Scroll Y in the animation is exactly the same. This might be the cause of the issue with the Gyroscope animation.

Could someone confirm the same?

I can’t explain it, but it suddenly started working again.

Strange things under the hood with Samsung perhaps?

Randomly stopped working again.

I’m not fiddling with my setup btw. So something externally is changing.

Can’t say if it’s the phone or Kustom
