I’ve been using my KLWP for a while now, and I built my own Spotify player which has worked wonders for over a year. Around I think October time last year, it started playing up a little bit with images just turning to white squares etc.
The odd one though, is using $mi(cover)$ - in the KLWP preview window, it shows the correct graphic, updates live within the app’s preview window as I change the song, but when it’s saved and live, the actual live wallpaper doesn’t show any image? It’s just the empty image placeholder.
If I then go and play a YouTube video (currently on a premium trial where it can plays in the background), the thumbnail of the video comes through just fine, both in the preview and live. Ideally I don’t want any YouTube info at all, but i don’t think that’s avoidable and I’m okay with that. When I then close YouTube down and rid of the notification and go back to just Spotify, the preview window updates, but the live view still shows the YouTube thumbnail.
At first when it wasn’t working, I assumed it was to do with restrictions to file locations, but how can the app’s preview window see it fine?
Any ideas greatly appreciated!
