Galaxy S9 and landscape orientation problem

Hi, I've switched to S9 and it doesn't allow wallpaper rotation...

It allows desktop orientation change but not wallpaper. Problem is that KLWP presets do not rotate (no live wallpaper does), but touch points related to KLWP elements in the preset seem to react to rotation (they change position).

In portrait everything works fine (default and for now only avalaible wallpaper orientation for S9), element touched reacts as configured. But when desktop orientation is set to auto rotate, after switching to landscape, the visible location of the elements is different from the touch points related to them. At first I thought that the touch doesn't work in landscape, but after a while i realized that it works, but I have to find a place on the screen related to the element I see ...

After some digging, I think this problem concerns all S9 owners

Does a normal wallpaper rotate as expected? Does it happen with any launcher?

No, neither static nor live wallpaper rotate. I checked with Lightning Launcher (my everyday launcher), Nova and standard TouchWiz.

Wallpaper doesn't rotate. In each of the above cases only icons pinned to desktop flip, but not wallpaper.

In design mode KLWP has access to phone orientation. I even tested text variable based on orientation and it changes when in design mode but after getting back to desktop it stops updating its value.

Few days ago I spoke to Samsung's representative on their polish helpdesk and as he states with S9 wallpaper orientation change is not possible at all - no such option.

I haven't found a way to make any wallpaper rotate (static or live), which anoys me a lot as i have landscape presets for car and motorbike which are wisible in landscape only ...

The same behaviour has starting affecting my S8 following the most recent firmware update.

I've tried switching between stock and nova launchers. Screen rotate is definitely enabled as the notification bar goes into landscape mode.

Could it be that the app requires an additional permission to access sensor data now?

The same happens to me for live wallpaper with the S7 and Oreo firmware, really sad :/

Same problem on S7 with latest Oreo update... :-(
