I saw some similar requests from two years ago, but in essence, allow render features in FX or Paint to be applied to all objects in a container or layer.
This means if I wanted everything on my watchface to have a drop shadow, I could set it on the root, and all rendered items below that will have the same treatment. This would make it much easier to tweak a design style if I only need to adjust it in one place.
