Exported themes are being deleted randomly

I’m having the following issue:

When I edit themes and export them as new themes, they randomly disappear from time to time. They are then deleted from the Kustom folder on the SD card. Something different happens with the components:

In the component browser, only one of my components is displayed. When I click “Import” and then select one of the components stored in the “Components” folder within the Kustom folder, it doesn’t import it. But I did export it there using that version of KLWP.

In general, KLWP seems to constantly revert my themes to a previous state. I’m constantly puzzled as to why changes have been undone.

Another strange thing is:
When I open a theme—for example, with the name “X1”—and save it as a new one named ‘X2’ after editing it, and then later open X2 again and try to export it after editing, it often shows me “X1” as the name. But I hadn’t even opened X1.

I don’t understand this behavior. I don’t use the restore function, and I don’t have any automated processes running on my phone that could explain this behavior.

Edit:

I just found out that the components are saved as .tmp files and therefore aren’t loading. Why are the files being renamed to .komp.tmp?

Try not to import through the Import button.

Use a file manager instead. For example, if you want to make a copy, open your Kustom folder → wallpapers through a file manager, copy the preset, paste it, and rename it.

Same thing with component. Then just load it from the library…

@MaxP :

I’m sorry for the emoji reaction, it supposed to be :+1: but somehow the smiley next to :+1: got selected.

All good, it happens sometimes.:slightly_smiling_face::handshake:

Thank you for the tip. I found a corrupt component that I copied from another theme. After deleting it KLWP has no bugs anymore
