I’ve made a simple text layer with the clock/time formula and lately I’ve noticed it only updates like every half hour to an hour. When I go into KWGT settings I see the red box stating “Battery Optimization” and the text about KWGT being battery optimized. However, on my Pixel 9 Pro I already have Kustom Widget app “Allow background usage” enabled, and I don’t see any other battery usage options for this app. I’ve enabled and disabled things like Adaptive Battery, etc, etc. I’m at a loss here. Any suggestions?
Hi there,
Please check your KWGT settings, for:
Advanced Options ➞ Update Mode
Choose whichever options suitable to your need.
I hope this would help.

Already tried this as well. Doesn’t work.
Hmm… if there’s nothing wrong with KWGT settings, then probably there’s something on phone’s settings that need to be set/change.
I just tried to create a simple KWGT widget on my phone, showing current time using $df(hh:mm)$ ➞ it’s updated every minute, as expected based on this settings on my KWGT:
Advanced Options ➞ Update Mode
.
Try this KWGT settings:
Notifications ➞ Notification Mode ➞ Automatic
By choosing Automatic, KWGT will always run.
I’m not sure if it’s related to your issue, but that’s on my KWGT settings.
I hope this would help.

It’s already set to automatic. I read another post on here under “related posts” from a year or two ago of someone having the exact same issue, so it’s not just me.
