Clock Doesn't update in Lock Screen Galaxy S26 Ultra

Created a Basic Wallpaper with a clock using Depth Effect pack. I tried all of the basic fixes with no solution. Im using a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and KLWP 3.82b603515. Any help would appreciated.

Thank you, Four

Samsung Galaxy S-series (especially the newest S26 Ultra) can be very aggressive with ‘optimizing’ third-party wallpapers. If your Depth Effect pack isn’t working, here are the likely culprits:

Battery Optimization: Ensure KLWP is set to ‘Unrestricted’ in App Info → Battery. Samsung’s One UI loves to kill background processes.

Stock Lockscreen Conflict: Samsung’s own ‘Depth Effect’ on the Lockscreen can sometimes block KLWP from rendering correctly. Try disabling any native Samsung wallpaper effects first.

Test step: Try to set a simple text layer with Roboto font and a basic clock formula $df(hh:mm)$. Let me know if you still see lags or glitches with this basic setup.

Unfortunately, Samsung’s One UI is notorious for these issues. Sometimes a $200 Redmi handles Kustom better than a $1200 Ultra! :slightly_smiling_face:

Battery Optimization: Unrestricted it set on.

Disabled Depth Effect etc turned off

Tried a simple text layer with Roboto font and a basic clock and it disappears when the lock screen is active. if the simple text goes from home screen to lock screen the simple text displays in the lock screen, but the clock doesn’t update.

Not sure what samsung setting are blocking any depth effect wallpaper apps from updating the clcok.

Thank You for all the help.
