I really miss having the current background in KWGT.
I don’t know why it was ditched, but designing themes would be so much easier if I didn’t have to save and exit the program every time I want to see how it looks on the current background.
But we don’t need to get access to the real current background, as long as we can at least select any image as background in KWGT. Then we can choose the picture that we want instead of the generic dark and light grey.
As a work around we can now put an image as first layer to function as a background, but then we have to remember to hide it before we use the widget.
But it would be so much more convenient when we can chose a picture to function as background.
Yes, as a workaround, but then this background becomes an integral part of the widget and will change the background of every device you put it on, which is not desired.
Before the change by android, the background would be automatically selected, and presented on the special (non integral) background layer, which is now not possible anymore. The layer is still there with all it’s options minus current background. Would it not be possible to manually select a background for this in addition of the other background options one can select? It doesn’t seem like a very complicated thing to do.
