I would love it if we had new animations in custom animator: rotation would work with the 3d flips, and other stuff like that. Here is a quick mockup i made. I might learn whatever codinf language this is made in just so i can get this working.

If you click the little play button it adds a new tab in the custom animations thing that allows you to animate and add keyframes to the thing you want to keyframe. !!! Please add this!!!
