I would like to use KLWP to be able to open one of my Pixel VIP contacts. Would anyone know how to do this? I have tried and got lost
Hi there,
Try these steps.
In the Touch tab of the object/element in KLWP preset, add a new touch action:
- Action: Launch Shortcut
- Shortcut: select the Google Contacts from the list of the applications, then choose any contact to be opened by this touch action

This would correctly open the contact, I appreciate that.
However, I am looking for a way to open the VIP pop-up on pixel phones, it seems it uses a private URI or something of the sorts, I am not sure though. Was just curious if anyone knew the solution
What do you mean by pop-up on Pixel phone?
Looks like this in the fully expanded state, has one that takes up 50% (could not find an image, prefer to keep people close to me private)
Only available on the Contacts app on the pixel phones

ok so these screenshot might help you get activity ids(classes) but i’m pretty sure widget is passing additional data to that activity but not sure which type of data or what data it is passing to that pixel vip app and pixel vip widget when long tapped it shows it’s from contacts(contacts app by google) so that confirms that some data is being thrown around these apps. on other note when i dragged vip widget to widget setting within pixel launcher, settings page was embedded as android intelligence launched but I’m pretty sure that pixel launcher is using android intelligence services as to launch the vip settings and not show that vip setting activity in recents page but i had smart launcher as default launcher so it opened in vip setting activity directly. hope it helps. we now only need someone who understand the reverse engineering of android app to get what data is so secretly passed around LOL
