Wi-Fi Status Vs Location (GPS) Status

Dear developer,

I would like to share with you about this, which might be an issue in KLWP.

I recently noticed that whenever I turn off the location (GPS) feature of my phone, then the Wi-Fi Status changed.

When the location is ON, then the Wi-Fi is CONNECTED and it shows the signal level. But when the location is OFF, then the Wi-Fi is changed to ENABLED (still on but not connected) and it doesn’t show the signal. The phone is still connected to the Wi-Fi network and online.

I attach the screenshots as the reference to this issue report.

Please kindly investigate this and hopefully provide any solutions soon.

This is actually not a KLWP issue. This is due to an Android requirement. To be able to access wifi status, the location setting must be enabled. It’s been like this since a couple of years back.
