Touch to launch app not working with MIUI8.1

I installed the KLWP 3.22 and Nova Launch 5.1.But I can't launch any app when I touch the overlap with launch shortcut.Ok...Only if I'm extremely lucky can I make this UI back to work by taping it madly

It's not just me，others who use MIUI have thus problem too.

My device is Redmi 4 with MIUI 8.1 system.

Please fix it quickly.

Yes it vibrates. That means it register the touch. But nothing happen. Music control is working. Lauching app is not working even nova action like lock is not working.

Ok then i need a full bug report, to do so please follow these steps:

  • Ensure you are running the latest version of the app (check on Play Store if there are any updates)
  • Enable Android Developer options as described here
  • Enable USB Debugging in the developer options
  • The button "Bug Report" should become active
  • Reproduce the issue (so click on the item)
  • Go into the dev settings and press Bug Report
  • Generated file might be big (>10MB), send me that via email at [email protected] mentioning this thread

I have the same problem on Xiaomi mi6 (MIUI8).

How is the fix coming along ?

This is not something i can Fix, this is a MIUI8 launcher issue, its not sending touch events to the wallpaper

I have the MI6 and same problem. Registers touch but no action taken. I hope this is something that can be debugged

I have the same problem. Epic ROM MIUI based, Nova launcher and kwlp pro both latest version. It worked perfectly in RR,aicp and all other aosp ,Los based ROMs for Xiaomi mi mix. MIUI is somehow killing the launch app function.

When I open kwlp settings and remap a touch shortcut to an app, the app is able to launch once, then again the shortcut becomes dead.

Please help..

The same problem...music plays, vibrates when touched but no action at all...so still no solution?

Nope.i moved on to custom roms anyway. Tired of MIUI . Works fine in custom roms

This is an issue with MIUI 8 and 9, the OS is preventing Kustom to launch apps from the background this has impact on KLWP only and cannot be fixed. You need to report this to Xiaomi, there is a thread already here:

This has been partially fixed in KLWP 3.29, the fix is a workaround but should work properly
