When I am active within a widget, I want to retrieve information about apps. The most important one is the icon. This can be done with notifications, but otherwise I cannot get the bitmap for dynamic (global) widgets. With that I also want to know if a specific application is installed, running, memory, etc.....
Right there with you, Patrick. Albeit, it's 3 years later and still nothing yet. Hopefully Frank is able/willing to implement this soon-ish.
