Hi, is it safe to give KWGT/KLWP acces to notifications to control music?

Yes absolutely. @frank (the developer) has been trustworthy a long time.

I know its something hard to demonstrate but Kustom as of now does not send ANY information out of the device except:

  • Anonymised crash data to Google Firebase
  • Analytics based on installation ID
  • Rounded location (around 10KM radius) for weather to our backend (which logs ip+request for a few days)
  • Ads if you ads are sending some data to Google admon

Thats it. I plan to add more stuff related to login later but it will be mainly related to storing faves and stuff. If you have any other question just get in touch via email or DM
