Hi,
I haven’t been actively using KLWP this year, but recently, I’ve started to engage with it more frequently. I’ve integrated it with Tasker, which interfaces with Home Assistant to retrieve about six variables. These variables are then displayed in KLWP to show my solar battery status among other things.
However, after each reboot, KLWP disappears. Getting it to work again takes a frustratingly long time as I try various combinations:
-
Usually, to display it, I clear the cache of both apps, then go into KLWP and just hit “Save” to trigger the “Fix Wallpaper” message. After that, I can set it as the wallpaper, which often works, but not consistently. I haven’t found a single method that always works.
-
If I add it to the home screen, it usually refreshes and displays. However, when setting it for both home and lock screens, it might load and refresh once before stalling.
I’ve had to disable and re-enable parallel rendering repeatedly, trying different combinations until KLWP finally functions again. There doesn’t seem to be a consistent pattern to success; it’s more of a hit-or-miss process.
I’ve already read through numerous forums and topics, so no disrespect but please avoid the standard troubleshooting advice like adjusting parallel rendering, setting the correct number of screens, checking battery optimization, and managing permissions among the most suggested.
- Is there a way for me to access or activate a debug log file or something similar to diagnose what might be causing these issues?
- or obviously if someone knows the problem and the fix do tell.
