Gradients via Formula?

Is it possible to change an icon color to a gradient via a formula?

In my case I have set up my WhatsApp and phone icon that way, that they change color based upon having missed calls/ unread messages. I’d like to color them in a gradient instead of a solid color.

Any idea how to do that?
