I think a helpful addition to the global variables function would be to add a third parameter; a tagging/sorting system. This feature would enable a preset creator to organize globals by function, which makes customizing presets easier for end users (as they would not have to guess the global's function; they could deduce it from context).
This would also allow you to introduce a view filtering system for globals, which might help load times (in cases of presets that are very global heavy), and would also enable creators to introduce a consisten naming/tagging system for their presets, once again increasing end-user accessibility and enabling creators to focus on (actually) creating, rather than dealing with organizing globals.
